Chocolate Cheese Ball

Great appetizer for a Christmas party.

1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
3/4 c. powered sugar
3 T. cocoa powder
1/4 c. mini chocolate chips, semi-sweet
1/4 c. butter, softened
2 T. light brown sugar
2 T. Kahlua or Amaretto (optional, but Kahlua does really lend an extra flavor)
1/4 c. pecans, finely chopped

Combine cream cheese and butter in a bowl, beating until well blended. Stir in both sugars, cocoa and liqueur, if using. Stir in chocolate chips. Cover and refrigerate until firm. Shape mixture into a ball and roll in pecans. Serve with graham crackers, cookies or sliced fruit. Vanilla wafers are my personal favorite!! Makes a 4 inch ball. Be sure to use the mini chocolate chips. Enjoy!
