Penne A' La Willman

Yummmmm!!!!! This is an excellent recipe! thanks Betts Willman for sharing! -Claire

2 Tbsp. Extra Virgin olive oil
1 lb. lean ground beef
3 cloves garlic, crushed
1 1/4 cup marinara sauce
1 12 oz. beef gravy in a jar
1 cup half-and-half
3/4 cup Parmesan or Romano cheese, grated
1 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
3/4 tsp. dried rosemary
salt & pepper to taste
1 lb. penne pasta, cooked al dente
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Prepare pasta in a large pot. Drain the pasta and return it to the dry pot. Set aside.

Mix marinara, gravy, half-and-half, parmesan, and seasonings in a small mixing bowl. Pour mixture over pasta and set aside.

Heat a large skillet and add olive oil. Brown the beef and garlic. Add beef mixture to pasta using a slotted spoon to drain off fat. Fold all the pasta components together carefully.

Pour pasta into a baking dish and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes, or until the pasta is hot and bubbly.

This feeds 6. To fill one large lasagna pan for a group, double the recipe.

Serve with Jimmy's Caesar Salad and Garlic Bread!
