Strawberry/Angel Food Trifle

This is a very easy, yet very flavorful dessert! It is always a hit at our house, and made often when strawberries are in season. I have added blueberries to make a "patriotic dessert" for Memorial Day or Independence Day. -Lois

1 angel food cake (can make your own, or in a pinch buy one from the bakery in your grocery store)
1 large and 1 small box instant vanilla pudding
1 large cool whip
1 qt strawberries, sliced
Milk (for the pudding- as package directs)

Mix pudding according to directions on boxes. Put in fridge to chill until almost set. Mix pudding and 3/4 of the cool whip together.

In a trifle bowl or other deep bowl, layer:

Angel food cake (torn into bite size chunks)
Sliced strawberries
Pudding/Cool Whip Mixture

Repeat layers, ending with pudding mixture.

Garnish with strawberries and remaining cool whip if desired.

I use the sugar-free pudding mix, skim milk, and cool whip lite to make this extra low cal.
